Home Screen

The home screen is the first page you see when entering the site. From left to right we have the supplier logo in the top left hand corner. Underneath this is the navigation bar. These links will navigate you around the site and allow you to browse the catalogue and create purchase orders. Next to the logo is the welcome message and over in the right hand side of the screen we have the best sellers list. The best sellers list, consists of the top ten selling items that have been ordered via your suppliers website.

There are four levels of authority that can be set up within this system.

  1. Administrator
  2. Order processor
  3. Template User
  4. Browser

Administrator

The administrator is the top level of authority. That means this person can set up users within the system, departments and cost centres. They can view management information i.e reports on spend and process purchase orders that need authorisation. They can also do all the options listed under the order processor.

Order processor

The Order processor can create orders upto a budgeted level without the need for those orders to be authorised. They can browse the product catalogue, raise orders from templates, track their orders and view the top product lists that they have ordered.

Template User

The template user is a person that is only allowed to order products from their contract list.

Browser

The browser is a person who is only allowed to browse the product catalogue, but cant raise any orders.

All four of the above have multiple ways in which they can be configured which is at the discretion of the administrator.
